Leaflets published on the occasion of performances staged by secondary school teachers are
the proof of the existence of the 17th- and 18th-century school theatre. Among few preserved
programmes, there are those referring to linguistic issues. The plays were filled with this
content at various levels: from the plot with grammatical problems as main characters, to
a characteristic title associating linguistic correctness or grammar subjects with figurative
meaning referring to religious essence.

The term of ‘literary translation’ appears in many cases as ambiguous and difficult to define.
Crossing different testimonies of French and Polish writers, such as Jean-René Ladmiral,
Jean-Yves Masson, Philippe Jaccottet, Stanislaw Barańczak or Magdalena Nowotna, we want
to consider the existing analogies and dependences between the process of translation
and literary creation. The desire of the author is to present the experience of translation as
a meeting with the strange and the uncommon, an invitation to consider the resistance of
a literary work and a research for what made the specificity of the text. The responsibility of
the translator will be evocated through the presentation of the various risks they have to take
and the necessity of choosing, making an individual project. One of the central questions will
be loyalty to the original, which can be perceived as attachment to the semanticism, or as an
effort to unveil the main ideas of the work. The contradictory nature of the position of the
translator, self-effacing and presenting at the same time through subjective adaptation of the
text will also be analized. It will be an opportunity to think about the possibility of enrichment
of the target language, by the awakening of new linguistic solutions, and to see translation as
a testimony of the constant dynamism of literature works.

The aim of teaching every school subject is on the one hand to acquire some basic knowledge,
and on the other hand to develop one's cognitive interest in the relevant field. A dialogue
between the parties involved in the process is a convenient didactic tool. In teaching practice
it commonly involves questioning by the teacher. In this paper we discuss various types of
questions and their role in teaching, in particular with regard to the teaching of the Polish
language and mathematics on different levels of education.

Categorization is one of the most important cognitive processes. Several studies indicate that
the ability to categorize impacts all subsystems of language. Language mistakes that children
make indicate the importance of those skills in language acquisition. Basic knowledge of
relationship between linguistic functions and cognitive functions must be a part of the
competence of the modern speech therapist.
