Report from International Expert’s Conference of Elder Abuse Prevention and Protection Perel-Levin, Silvia; Somers, Susan; Lowenstein, Ariela; Todorović, Nataša; Maćkowicz, Jolanta Maćkowicz, Jolanta; Somers, Susan Z okazji Światowego Dnia Świadomości Nadużyć Wobec Osób Starszych / World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD), w Uniwersytecie Pedagogicznych w Krakowie (w dniach 14–15 czerwca 2019) odbyła się międzynarodowa konferencja naukowa „International Expert’s Conference of Elder Abuse. Prevention and Protection” Konferencja zgromadziła wybitnych prelegentów z całego świata, reprezentujących uniwersytety, Instytuty Praw Człowieka, NGO oraz wiodące europejskie i światowe organizacje, m.in. ONZ i WHO. Głównym celem konferencji była wymiana wiedzy i doświadczeń związanych z zapobieganiem i ochroną osób starszych przed wszelkimi formami nadużyć, przemocy, zaniedbania i dyskryminacji oraz rozpowszechnianie najlepszych praktyk w zakresie zapobiegania i interwencji.; On World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) the Pedagogical University of Krakow (Poland) held the International Expert’s Conference of Elder Abuse. Prevention and Protection The conference gathered experts from around the world, the representatives of universities, Human Rights Institutions and leading European and world organizations like UN and WHO. The main purpose of the Conference was the exchange of insights and experiences related to the prevention and protection of seniors against any forms of abuse, violence, negligence and discrimination, as well as learning about the best prevention and intervention practices. Educational values in contemporary school - theory and practice Bereźnicka, Małgorzata In my article I refer to the multistage research on educational values. I define them and present my own list of values grouped into four categories: cognitive-intellectual values, moral-social values, creative values, aesthetic values and health and ecological values. I also present shortly the results of my research considering didactic theory, social expectations and the core curriculum, as well as opinions of teachers and students dealing with this issue. Finally, I draw some conclusions based on the analysis of my research and suggest possible solutions to some of the problems which hopefully can be helpful in making the process of acquiring and realization of values at schools more effective or at least it can be a starting point about educational values because there is no education without them.
