Prof. dr hab. Bronisław Urban (1942-2014) Olszewski, Sławomir Professor Bronisław Urban (1942-2014) was an employee of the Special Pedagogy Department in the years 1994-2000. Above all, though, throughout all his academic life he was connected with the jagiellonian University. The scientific achievements of professor Urban concentrate around the threats of social maladjustment and disorders in the behaviour of children and adolescents (range of the phenomenon, typologies, diagnosing, conditioning and prevention), prevention in educational institutions and local environment and around improving the functioning of the rehabilitative institutions based on new theoretical and methodical concepts. Professor Bronisław Urban is mentioned among the most prominent members of the Polish modern rehabilitative pedagogy.
