It is not only a new quality, but also a medium, a meeting of a recipient with a reality of a disabled creator. The article presents the silhouettes of three people, for who creative activity is a way of communicating with the world. Znaczenie języka migowego w rozwoju dzieci z wadą słuchu Deńca, Marta The need to communicate is the most important mental need of a man. The fulfillment of this need is the basis of realization of all other needs. It is fundamental for the development of each child. People communicate using verbal and nonverbal mean of communication. The latter category comprises mainly gestures. One of the earliest effects of hearing dysfunction is the limitation or loss of the ability to communicate using verbal signals. People with hearing disability are a specific group of disabled people, because of their own, natural way of communicating, meaning the sign language. The idea of bilingualism is gaining more and more fame in present times. According to this idea, the sign language should be the primary language, enabling people with hearing disability to develop their communication and lingual effectiveness skills. Wykorzystanie urządzenia Kinect w terapii dzieci i młodzieży z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną Piotrowska-Madej, Klaudia; Rauch, Łukasz; Madej, Łukasz The aim of the article is to develop multimedia programs cooperating with a dynamically developing Kinect technology in order to support the development of children with mental and motoric disability. The article describes the Kinect device, its basic destination and potential possibilities of other uses. The second chapter presents the development of cognitive processes in children with mental disability, followed by the general features of motoric development – correct and disturbed. Chapters 4 and 5 present the development of fine motorics and visual perception as well as their disorders. The next chapter presents, on the basis of these information, a group of games prepared for mentally disabled children with the use of Kinect device. The developed programs allow for the diversification of daily, extremely difficult, intense, and frequent exercises, the aim of which is a comprehensive development of children. Technika komputerowa w terapii logopedycznej. – dlaczego warto ją wykorzystywać w pracy z dziećmi Lichota, Edyta Joanna The article is a deliberation on the topic of the use of computer technology in the process of education, especially in logopedic therapy. It includes both the conclusions of the observations from own work, with able and disabled children in the school age, and the opinions of many scientists together with some of the studies in the area conducted by them. It is also an attempt to answer the question on the justification of bigger engagement of children in classes which include multimedia aides. The explanation and justification of this process has been found in the area of cognitive psychology, where the human mind is being compared to the computer. It also includes a short description of the organization and functioning of a human brain, including inter alia attention, memory, which play a very important role in gathering new education content. Furthermore, the author pays attention to the decisive role of emotions in acquiring new knowledge which influence the reception of a sensation even before realizing it. The article also includes the elaboration on multimedia education which starts to take a high position in the technology of education and has theoretical reference to psychological concepts of knowledge and skill gathering. It includes the research on the use of computer technology and description of computer programs used in a logopedic therapy.
