Polonista i dynamiczna kultura ucznia Wróblewski, Maciej The article discusses the character of relationship between a student and a teacher in the perspective of cultural changes. Nowadays, educational dialogue contains less confrontational elements and more the ones that a teacher and a student share, due to different phenomena – democratization of social life, individualism in terms of building identity, mechanism of cultural content transmission. The consequence of the status quo is the need to rebuild trust between a pupil and a tutor. The organization of education in Poland basing on the necessity to test students’ knowledge and skills does not facilitate the process. Słowo w multimediach edukacyjnych (na przykładzie programów komputerowych do nauki języka polskiego w gimnazjum i liceum) Kaszewski, Krzysztof The article presents results of an analysis of eight computer programs for Polish language and literature learning in Lower Secondary School and Secondary School. The following aspects of the examined multimedia have been taken into account: the amount of text, its functions and relations with other media (static images, motion videos, sound), as well as whether and to what extent the possibilities that “electronic text” has, the ones “traditional texts” lack, have been utilized. The research shows that in most of the educational programs text dominates, overrides all the other media and is almost self- sufficient. Other media are relatively scarce and used chiefly for aesthetics. Also, the learning aids do not take advantage of the unique possibilities that computer and texts in the electronic form provide. W poszukiwaniu wartości w perspektywie kształcenia kulturowo-literackiego gimnazjalistów Różańska, Grażyna The considerations relate to reflections on the existence of values in the world and education of Lower Secondary School youth. The author traces those in selected educational and empirical material among teenagers (13–16 years old) being in the stage of rebellion and negation of commonly accepted values. She checks where the place of moral values in the world of hedonistic values is; whether a young person chooses what is “nice, easy and pleasurable”, or whether he/she aspires to search for what is valuable and important in spiritual development of a human being. The author focuses on a few words – valuable and value determining notions that appear in Lower Secondary School education, treated marginally but frequently emerging in students’ evaluations and choices. These are: attractiveness, happiness and tolerance. Złomoty, milipanci i bubeki, czyli dlaczego warto pogłębić ogląd powieściowego słowa we Wrońcu Jacka Dukaja? (komunikat) Dworakowska, Dominika The present article concerns Jacek Dukaj’s excellent novel The Crow. In 2009, this contem-porary writer published the book which aroused interest with its themes, selection of lexical stylistic means and a perspective of a rich repertoire of diverse literary references. The author of the article inspects not only the subject matter of the book but also its organization of linguistic material. The artistic style of Dukaj’s literary work was influenced by puns and linguistic humour, among others, whereas delimitation and the graphic design emphasized the meaning of the narrator’s statements, quite often obscured. “Deciphering” thereof, in turn, helped the author of the article find the hidden depths of the novel, as well as ask about the age of The Crow’s reader and the legitimacy of incorporating the novel into compulsory reading curriculum.
