Metallic glasses, due to their particular properties, belong to a unique and interesting class of materials. This work presents amorphous materials used as components of devices and structures in different shapes, e.g.: bulk, wire, ribbon, as well as other forms. The paper also describes nanociystalline materials for which the amorphous state can be regarded as a precursor structure. The methods of amorphization, general characteristics, applications and essential properties achievable by going to or through the glassy structure are shortly presented.

This paper presents new opportunities of using the computer in eliminating the nasalization process. All kinds of nasality, closed, opened and mixed, were taken into consideration. This article also presents the possibility of using a computer external device, Nasality Processor, which is demonstrated on particular examples of statements, voiced by children with severe and profound hearing impairment. An experimental research, concerning nasality process, carried out on a statistically significant group of children with hearing defects, its course and results are presented in the paper. A new method of diagnosis and voice rehabilitation of children with oral problems, concerning correct nasal resonance, correct realization of nasal sounds and eliminating the nasalization process is proposed as the result of the research.
