<title>Twórczość Stanisława Wyspiańskiego w szkole średniej i wyższej na Białorusi</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11716/6905</link>
<description>Twórczość Stanisława Wyspiańskiego w szkole średniej i wyższej na Białorusi
Nielepko, Helena
This article sketches out the specific character of teaching Polish culture and literature in&#13;
Belarus, on the example of the literary works by Stanisław Wyspiański.&#13;
Firstly, the general situation in the secondary and higher schools is presented, on the basis of&#13;
an analysis of the employed curricula.&#13;
Secondly, the author focuses on the curriculum of the Polish and Belarusian language and&#13;
culture studies at the Janka Kupala State University in Grodno. She outlines the range of&#13;
preliminary knowledge of the Belarusian students before they study the dramatic works by&#13;
Wyspiański. The main focus of the author’s interest, which logically stems from the Polish&#13;
literature syllabus, is Wyspiański’s play “The Wedding”. The author identifies the difficulties&#13;
which Belarusian students encounter in reading and analysing the play, and suggests solutions&#13;
to these problems.

<title>Mickiewicz i Miłosz – miejsca wspólne</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11716/6904</link>
<description>Mickiewicz i Miłosz – miejsca wspólne
Brusiewicz, Anatol
This article presents the issue of inheriting tradition, and of Adam Mickiewicz’s influence&#13;
on aesthetic and ideological formation of Czesław Miłosz. Poets of the 19th (Mickiewicz) and&#13;
20th (Miłosz) century share the idea of the fight for the nation’s freedom, the concern for the&#13;
“everyman”, and the problem of civic responsibility of an active man of culture. Mickiewicz and&#13;
Miłosz were both born in the Polish eastern frontier territory, and their formation proceeded&#13;
under the influence of the local folklore, customs, and the ways of life of the peoples inhabiting&#13;
the region. Both poets made their “little Fatherland” the main character of their masterpieces,&#13;
while their extraordinary artistic mastery made their poetry known all over the world.
