The author presents Polish legał regulations concerning the provision of psycho-pedagogical assistance to pupils with special educational needs at school. Then she briefly outlines the essence and principles of the school's support for this group of pupils, and highlights the main problems that legał regulations create in teaching practice. To this end, the manner of interpreting legał regulations concerning pupils with special educational needs in the selected Supreme Administraturę Court ruling issued on a dispute between parents and educational institutions is presented. The article ends with postulates useful for school education.
