<title>Miejsce Bałkanów Zachodnich w polityce Unii Europejskiej</title>

<description>Miejsce Bałkanów Zachodnich w polityce Unii Europejskiej
Zawistowska, Renata
The article presents a general overview of the EU policy towards the West Balkan countries&#13;
i.e. Slavic countries which emerged after the breakup of Yugoslavia as well as Albania. All&#13;
EU countries are essentially in favour of their accession to the Union. The accession process,&#13;
however, is extremely long and complex. An important role in the integration of the West&#13;
Balkan countries with the EU structures has been played by Slovenia, an EU member state&#13;
since May 1st , 2004. Slovenia is a central European country but is understands the specificity&#13;
of south European states as it was also a part of the former Yugoslavia. Croatia is to join&#13;
the EU on July 1st , 2013. The remaining West Balkan countries are at different stages of the&#13;
accession process.

<title>Stany Zjednoczone – przyjaciel, konkurent czy silniejszy brat Europy?</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11716/13521</link>
<description>Stany Zjednoczone – przyjaciel, konkurent czy silniejszy brat Europy?
Płudowski, Tomasz
The article analyses transatlantic relations looking at their three main dimensions: cultural,&#13;
economic and political-military. The article argues that although the US now dominates&#13;
Europe culturally and both are historically connected by the WASP heritage, important&#13;
axiological differences do remain, especially given Europe’s diversity. With regards to&#13;
economic relations, which cause most conflicts, the two entities are competitors but ones that&#13;
cooperate closely and constitute the world’s largest economies and economic partners. This&#13;
cooperation notwithstanding, Europe and the US differ in their standards and procedures as&#13;
well as in their approach to China’s growing power. As far as political and military relations&#13;
are concerned, the US and Europe are experiencing a shift from America’s patronage over&#13;
Europe to an envisaged partnership. One of the main obstacles in that process is the lack of&#13;
common EU policy, as well as Europe’s less aggressive international military presence.

<title>Rosja wobec jednoczącej się Europy</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11716/13520</link>
<description>Rosja wobec jednoczącej się Europy
Kłaczyński, Robert
The paper is devoted to the Russian policy towards European integration. The EU-Russia&#13;
relations are crucial both for the continent and the world as a whole. At the same time, they&#13;
are also extremely involved given their multidimensionality and multi-directionality. The&#13;
paper characterises the relation between Russia and the EU in the most important aspects&#13;
of social life. It also points out that the EU has yet to establish a common, coherent policy&#13;
towards Russia.

<title>Europejska (de)konstrukcja – ewolucja programowa partii skrajnie prawicowych wobec kwestii europejskich</title>

<description>Europejska (de)konstrukcja – ewolucja programowa partii skrajnie prawicowych wobec kwestii europejskich
Kasprowicz, Dominika
Deepening European integration has always given rise to disputes and controversies, both&#13;
at the individual and at the institutional level. One of the most prominent groups shaping&#13;
the debates have been political parties, their leaders and representatives both at home and&#13;
abroad. The paper aims at presenting the views of the extreme right-wing parties on the&#13;
broadly conceived issue of the European integration. The paper follows the framework which&#13;
focuses on three main aspects: principles, practice and vision of the European integration. On&#13;
this basis, three types of Eurosceptic attitudes of right-wing parties in Western Europe are&#13;
distinguished and used in further comparisons. In the main section of the paper, the qualitative&#13;
analysis of party manifestos and statements is conducted to demonstrate the evolution of&#13;
views of some extreme right-wing parties in new member states (Poland, the Czech Republic,&#13;
Slovakia and Hungary) between the years 2001-2010. The examples analysed are compared&#13;
with relevant specimens of West European party policies and shown in their many variants.
