Andrusiewicz, Piotr; Budrewicz, Zofia; Sienko, Maria
The present paper contains a synthetic survey of the inquiry concerned with the professional equipment of the
graduates of Polish studies. The survey covers the period from 1960 up to 1986. It reveals, on the one hand,
numerous drawbacks in the professional equipment of the students of Polish, and, on the other hand, the
incompleteness, fragmentary nature, and want of perfection in the studies carried out at that time. The low
evaluation of the graduates' professional level refers to different aspects of their substantial-and-objective
equipment, and – first of all – to the numerous domains of the didactic one. Having estimated the methodological
aspect of the investigation the authors demonstrate their often too narrow scope and the lack of elaborate
objective methods and instruments for the diagnosis of the students' achievement. Instead of reliable and
objective statements treatises of publicistic nature have often appeared in the bibliography. Nevertheless the
survey in question presents a general description of the state of the efficiency of the university studies of
Polish and points out the directions for the further, more thorough investigation of the problem.

Proces przygotowania do zawodu nauczycielskiego w opinii studentów filologii polskiej WSP w Krakowie
Petkowska, Urszula
Horizontal poll inquiry worked out in the academic year 1986/1987 included 260 students. Its aim consisted in the
recognition of the process of the self-accomplishment of the students during the 5 years of their studies as well
as the relations between the students' aspirations and the programme realized by the University.
The investigation has demonstrated that the students are to a great extent prepared to govern their own
development. They are completely aware of the aim they aspire to, formulate definite models-ideals with a
perspective to realize them. The positive professional orientation is high (on the average 80%).
Didactic training and school practice stimulate the students to self-improvement and adequate self-evaluation.
The technique of self-education is however the most neglected element in the students' training while without it
the process of self-instruction and self-improvement cannot take a normal course. It is therefore necessary to
work out concrete programmes of a student's work, of the methods of self-control and self-valuation, and of the
exercising of acquired dispositions.
In order to achieve this purpose a modification of both plan and programme of studies is necessary. All the
elements which do not directly correspond with the future work of a teacher of Polish should be removed while
professional ethics and selected problems of andragogy ought to be introduced.

O perspektywie zastosowań komputera w edukacji polonistycznej - horyzont rozpoznania
Andrusiewicz, Piotr
The author of the present paper examines the educational perspectives of the use of computer technique in Polish
studies. He assumes incidentally that computerization leads to a new configuration of the hitherto existing
elements of culture, among them written media as well as audiovisual ones. These media have always seemed to be
in a state of conflict in school practice whereas a computer may help to overcome the opposition between the
word-dominated models of culture and those dominated by sound and vision. The author makes a survey of different
computer educational programs and valuates them from the point of view of their usability in Polish studies. The
majority of practical experiments has proved that computer educational programs teach thinking in a convergent
way. There is however a certain domain of the application of a computer and its proper cover which may favor the
development of thinking of a divergent, creative type. Such are the programs of wording texts, programs aiding
the editorial work on a small scale, graphic ones, and bases of data. An effort to use such programs might help
to develop writing abilities of the pupils and help them to connect precision and accuracy of thought with
freedom of creative expression.

Kultura żywego słowa w kształceniu świadomości językowej i literackiej studentów polonistyki

Kultura żywego słowa w kształceniu świadomości językowej i literackiej studentów polonistyki
Bator, Zbigniew
The usefulness of recitation in the didactics of Polish studies depends upon the assignation of the connexion
between the art of spoken word and the theory of literature. The realization of a text on the phonic plane
provides it with new means of expression based not on the text itself but on the thoughts it contains. A writing
does not imply explicit indications for its vocal realization. Its personalization is necessary.
Recitation is a result of intellectual efficiency supported by a specific technique of speech. The awakening of
imagination and adequate mobilization of emotions are also necessary since it is a confrontation of the
conclusions of an analysis with a set of values accepted by a reciter. A subjective, artistic interpretation of a
work should not however be a base for its analysis in school practice. Reading a text aloud combined with the
understanding of its meaning but deprived of any unmotivated emotional colouring may, on the other hand, perform
a didactic function. The author calls this contact with a text its vocal concretization which he proposes to
accept as the subject of all the analyses. He supports his views with interdisciplinary arguments and indicates
the need of a complementary approach to the problem.
The culture of spoken word realized as an object of Polish studies must "enliven, animate" a work exhibiting all
its potentional planes of concretization. This will permit us to use the perception of a work, duly directed
emotionally, as a didactic instrument.
