moderated by Prof. Jolanta Maćkowicz (Pedagogical University of Cracow, Poland&#13;
/ INPEA), the Polish experiences were presented and the focus was on both,&#13;
academic research and the already implemented solutions.

Z okazji Światowego Dnia Świadomości Nadużyć Wobec Osób Starszych / World Elder&#13;
Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD), w Uniwersytecie Pedagogicznych w Krakowie (w&#13;
dniach 14–15 czerwca 2019) odbyła się międzynarodowa konferencja naukowa&#13;
„International Expert’s Conference of Elder Abuse. Prevention and Protection”&#13;
Konferencja zgromadziła wybitnych prelegentów z całego świata, reprezentujących&#13;
uniwersytety, Instytuty Praw Człowieka, NGO oraz wiodące europejskie&#13;
i światowe organizacje, m.in. ONZ i WHO.&#13;
Głównym celem konferencji była wymiana wiedzy i doświadczeń związanych&#13;
z zapobieganiem i ochroną osób starszych przed wszelkimi formami nadużyć,&#13;
przemocy, zaniedbania i dyskryminacji oraz rozpowszechnianie najlepszych&#13;
praktyk w zakresie zapobiegania i interwencji.; On World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) the Pedagogical University&#13;
of Krakow (Poland) held the International Expert’s Conference of Elder Abuse.&#13;
Prevention and Protection&#13;
The conference gathered experts from around the world, the representatives&#13;
of universities, Human Rights Institutions and leading European and world&#13;
organizations like UN and WHO.&#13;
The main purpose of the Conference was the exchange of insights and experiences&#13;
related to the prevention and protection of seniors against any forms&#13;
of abuse, violence, negligence and discrimination, as well as learning about the&#13;
best prevention and intervention practices.

<title>Educational values in contemporary school - theory and practice</title>

<description>Educational values in contemporary school - theory and practice

In my article I refer to the multistage research on educational values. I define them and&#13;
present my own list of values grouped into four categories: cognitive-intellectual values,&#13;
moral-social values, creative values, aesthetic values and health and ecological values. I also&#13;
present shortly the results of my research considering didactic theory, social expectations and&#13;
the core curriculum, as well as opinions of teachers and students dealing with this issue.&#13;
Finally, I draw some conclusions based on the analysis of my research and suggest possible&#13;
solutions to some of the problems which hopefully can be helpful in making the process of&#13;
acquiring and realization of values at schools more effective or at least it can be a starting&#13;
point about educational values because there is no education without them.
