Wykorzystanie urządzenia Kinect w terapii dzieci i młodzieży z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną

Abstract

The aim of the article is to develop multimedia programs cooperating with a dynamically developing Kinect technology in order to support the development of children with mental and motoric disability. The article describes the Kinect device, its basic destination and potential possibilities of other uses. The second chapter presents the development of cognitive processes in children with mental disability, followed by the general features of motoric development – correct and disturbed. Chapters 4 and 5 present the development of fine motorics and visual perception as well as their disorders. The next chapter presents, on the basis of these information, a group of games prepared for mentally disabled children with the use of Kinect device. The developed programs allow for the diversification of daily, extremely difficult, intense, and frequent exercises, the aim of which is a comprehensive development of children.
