In many countries of the world, (including Poland), there is incentive to define the factors on which the quality of education of natural sciences is build upon. Designation of those factors is crucial if the appropriate steps are to be taken. In order to acquire reliable and current data on the subject of state and perspectives of the development of natural sciences didactics in Poland, deans of natural sciences related faculties and executives of Biology/ chemistry/physics or geography related laboratories and institutions were asked to fill in specially designated questionnaire. This inquiry provided crucial data on current situation, factors and conditions necessary in implementation of tasks which ought to be the main objective of natural sciences didactics on the universities. The results indicate the necessity for undertaking intense and coordinated efforts which would result in realizing the full potential of natural sciences didactics and achieving satisfactory level of natural sciences education.
