Abstract

The article presents the changes in the international security environment in the post Cold War world, especially in view of the post Communist Middle-East European countries. The most important changes connected with the collapse of the bipolar world and the new problems and challenges were presented. The emphasis was made on the integration processes of the West-European and Euro-Atlantic structures of cooperation and security. At the end the international policy of non-proliferation was taken into consideration.
