dc.description.abstract | Issues related to the protection of patient’s rights are an extremely current problem affecting
an increasing number of people who, despite increasing awareness of their rights, do not
always know how to use them and what their content is. People who are using broadly
understood health services, usually the scope of their use, do not combine with the possibility
of their use in a particular health care facility which is a pharmacy.
In this article an attempt was made to undergo analysis of selected patients’ rights, entitled to
the patient -just – in the pharmacy.
The author intention is to present the rights in an easy way, so it is limited only to
national legislation and jurisdiction, which is created or issued also on the basis of EU law.
International limitation of legal grounds, according to the author, does not affect the analysis
of selected rights, and the presented article – the same – can reach a wider audience, can
increase both interest in rights and increase the awareness of patients. This increase in
patients’ awareness of their rights should “go hand in hand” with an increase in awareness
about the responsibilities of patients. Only the balance between the rights and obligations of
patients and persons performing health services will determine the change in relations, it will
be a proof of cooperation and mutual respect of two autonomous entities. | en |
