dc.description.abstract | Properly carried out a heat treatment of the aluminium alloy 2017A allows the considerable
hardening (by precipitation). This paper presents the results of the effect of supersaturation,
natural and artificial aging on mechanical properties of the aluminium alloy 2017A. The
most proper temperature for supersaturation of this alloy is 500°C. However, the acceptable
temperature range of this process is 490°C to 520°C. The maximum hardness as a result of
natural aging of this alloy obtained after 72 hours. Artificial aging at 180 ° C causes a sufficient
increase of hardness after 6 hours. The highest ultimate tensile strength of the material
obtained after natural aging. Natural aging of the material causes increases the ultimate
tensile strength of 20% (compared to the super saturation state of the material). | en |
