dc.description.abstract | Nowadays, the authority of a technical subject teacher seems to decline in many junior high
schools in Poland. The opinion of teachers about their own work and respect tends to be
overestimated when compared to what we can elicit from pupils. Technical subject teachers
have great respect among elementary school pupils but as regards junior high school pupils,
the opinions vary. The teachers seem not to remember that the very fact of being a teacher
does not guarantee having authority among pupils as the authority has to be gained by hard
work and has to be constantly maintained. It is a difficult task but possible to be performed
providing a teacher remembers about and respects a few rules. The following project shows
the elements which constitute a teacher’s authority. | en |
