dc.description.abstractThe way people of any age spend their free time nowadays seems to be a great problem. It can be treated as a time needed to regenerate one’s organism after a day of hard work, to develop one’s interests or to participate in cultural and social life. At present, many people have to or want to develop professionally so they get higher qualifications and education. It can be stated that thanks to the development of technology we have more free time, but paradoxically we have less of it. To make the standards of living higher we get additional work. Also, ‘chasing a good job’ and maintaining it, we keep forgetting about our interests and about things we used to like doing in our free time. Often we simply do not have time for anything but work. It turns out to be interesting to analyse the ways students spend their free time in Cracow. The research has shown the ways of spending free time by information technology students.en
