The article presents an overview of phenomena for microwave sintering and Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS). In the paper the microwave and SPS apparatus are shown. Microwave heating phenomena is different from conventional heating. In the microwave process, the heat is generated internally within the material instead of originating from external sources. SPS has been mainly characterized by spark plasma created by a puls direct current during heat treatment of powders in a graphite die. SPS sintering is a developed process, which makes possible sintering at low temperatures and short periods. New developments and innovative ideas in the area of materials processing and technology have often led to the discovery of new materials with better properties.en
