dc.description.abstract | The paper deals with the application of artificial neural networks in solving some problems
concerning seismic and paraseismic engineering. Briefly discussed are: forecasting of seismic
parameters as well as parameters of surface vibrations, prediction of the transmission of ground
vibrations to building foundation vibrations, simulation of building response to seismic-
-type excitation, active control of building vibrations, the idea of diagnostic systems for the
