Abstract

This article discusses the brief history of machine tools and a review of technical solutions used in today’s machines. The characteristics of NC and CNC machine tools, as well as the software used to assist their work was presented. The article presents also a trends in the development of machine tools in the context of control systems and a new look at methods such as stereolitography and 3D printing.
