Abstract

We give you the second issue of the journal Annales Universitatis Paedagogiae Cracoviensis Studia Naturae. The current issue contains 13 original scientific articles in the fields of botany, zoology, experimental biology and agricultural sciences, ecology and environmental protection. The papers in the botany, algology, and mycology section describe the diversity of flora in the Beskid Mały Mountains of the abandonment glades. The second article compares the taxonomie composition of phytoplankton in the Gulf of Puck and the in open waters of the Baltic Sea. In the zoology section, there is an article about the succession of spiders in the secondary anthropogenic habitat in Eastern Slovakia. In the field of experimental biology and agricultural sciences, there are four articles on the effect of light intensity and température on cell growth and on the pigment concentration of cyanobacteria Synechococcus, the effect of elevated température on the photosynthesis of endosymbiotic algae Chlorella sp., in Paramecium bursaria, the effect of foliar application of urea on rice yields, and the influence of different conditions of cultivation on the morphology of the Helianthus tuberosus. There are articles on the phenomenon of achromatic flowers of Silene viscaria found in the nature reserve in Russia, the influence of allelopathic cyanobacteria on diatoms in aquatic ecosystems, and allelopathic activity of picocyanobacteria in the Baltic Sea. In the Varia section, there are articles about ectoparasites of domestic animais and analysis of wild bee populations in North America. This section also includes an article presenting a report on the activities of the Intergovernmental Platform for Scientific Policy on Biological Diversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) of the Global Diversity Initiative biological activity and political activity, influencing the financing of ecosystem services. There are also reports of following events that took place in the current year: the Open Days of the Pedagogical University, the Science Festival, the Night of Scientists, and scientific conférences. We hope that the articles published in the current issue will meet your interest and will prompt future authors to préparé publications in the next issue.

Przekazujemy w Państwa ręce drugi numer czasopisma Annales Universitatis Paedagogiceae Cracoviensis Studia Naturae. Bieżący numer zawiera 13 oryginalnych artykułów naukowych zamieszczonych w działach botaniki, algologii i mykologii, zoologii, eksperymentalnej biologii i nauk rolniczych, ekologii i ochrony środowiska. Prace, które znalazły się w bieżącym numerze w dziale botaniki, algologii i mykologii, opisują zróżnicowanie flory hal oraz polan w Beskidzie Małym po zaprzestaniu działalności pasterskiej i łąkarskiej. W drugim artykule porównano skład taksonomiczny fitoplanktonu w Zatoce Puckiej i w otwartych wodach Morza Bałtyckiego. W dziale zoologii zamieszczono pracę na temat sukcesji pająków na wtórnym siedlisku antropogenicznym we Wschodniej Słowacji. W dziale biologii eksperymentalnej i nauk rolniczych znalazły się cztery artykuły dotyczące wpływu intensywności oświetlenia i temperatury na wzrost komórek oraz zawartość barwników fotosyntetycznych szczepów sinicy Synechococcus, wpływu podwyższonej temperatury na przebieg procesu fotosyntezy endosymbiotycznych glonów Chlorella sp., występujących u orzęska Paramecium bursaria, wpływu dolistnego zastosowania mocznika na plony ryżu oraz wpływu różnych warunków uprawy na morfologię słonecznika Helianthus tuberosus. W dziale ekologii i ochrony środowiska zamieszczono artykuły na temat zjawiska achromatyzmu kwiatów Silene viscaria, znalezionych w rezerwacie przyrody w Rosji, oddziaływania allelopatycznego sinic i okrzemek w ekosystemach wodnych oraz allelopatycznej aktywności pikocyjanobakterii w Morzu Bałtyckim. W dziale Varia zamieszczono artykuły na temat ektopasożytów zwierząt domowych oraz analizy populacji dzikich pszczół w Ameryce Północnej. W dziale tym zamieszczony został również artykuł dotyczący działalności Międzyrządowej Platformy Polityki Naukowej w sprawie Różnorodności Biologicznej i Usług Ekosystemo>vych (IPBES), organizacji zajmującej się globalnym stanem różnorodności biologicznej i aktywności politycznej, mającej wpływ na finansowanie usług ekosystemowych. Przedstawiono również sprawozdania z wydarzeń, które miały miejsce w bieżącym roku, a były to, m.in. Dni Otwarte Uniwersytetu Pedagogicznego, Festiwal Nauki, Noc Naukowców oraz konferencje naukowe. Mamy nadzieję, że prace opublikowane w bieżącym numerze spotkają się z Państwa zainteresowaniem i skłonią przyszłych autorów do publikacji artykułów w kolejnym zeszycie.
