dc.description.abstractThe elaboration, in conjunction to the term "polyphony" used in the title, comprises several parts: the introduction presents information connected with the life and scientific, didactic, and organisational activity of the deceased Assistant Professor Jadwiga Baran. Then it calls back the memory of several people connected to Her scientifically and professionally, such as Assistant Professor Władysława Pilecka, professor Alicja Rakowska, professor Janina Wyczesany, professor Aniela Korzon, Associate Professor Grażyna Gunia and Prelate Jerzy Pryła, as well as Her former students. In the next part it presents the image of Her Person and achievements from the modern perspective, meaning in the perception of young scientific staff members, among which there is the author of this article.en
