dc.description.abstractThis article focuses on the characteristics of current trends used in the rehabilitation of young children with disabilities. Its first part describes the term rehabilitation, and distinguishes the basic kinds of rehabilitation: medical, psychological, pedagogical and social. It also presents the rehabilitation model used in Poland. The second part, in turn, points out the modern trends used in the rehabilitation of a young child with disabilities. Focus was mainly put on explaining the issues connected with early intervention, as well as early support for the child's development.en
