Logopaedics is the only discipline that is currently in the state of intense development. It creates a number of new methods to help people with communicative dysfunctions. The issue of communicativeness is one of the basic interests of logopaedics in both the dimension of modern theory and practice. The ability to communicate is especially important in relation to people with special educational and developmental needs. When preparing students of the Special Pedagogy specialisation to take up the professional nactivity, we accentuate the meaning of creativity in the process of logopaedic therapy. The article underlines the role of modern development support as a basis to shape communicativeness within the logopaedic practice. In order to develop the strategy of communicativeness improvement we offer, aside from the traditional therapy methods, the use of modern devices and therapy programmes, e.g. the Warnke method or the alternative or support communication methods.en
