| dc.description.abstract | The author proposes to include into the curriculum of the Geographic studies in the Higher Pedagogical School a
subject entitled „General Physical Geography” and presents a program of the suggested course. In support of his
proposition he argues in favour of the necessity of adding that new subject to the curriculum not only for didactic
reasons, as the necessity of repeating the material which in the preceding years of studies had been broken up into
several fragmentary subjects (as climatology, hydrography, geomorphology, biogeography etc.) but mainly from the
methodical point of view. Namely in the now adopted fragmentation plan certain problems of the complex landscape
are left out, for instance: the landscape zonation, influence of elevation, continentalism and oceanity, the effect
of exposure on its diversification, its natural and cultural evolution, the rythmical changes of appearance,
seasonal in particular, and apart of that methodical problems of regional divisions and the typologic
classification of small regional units.
At the same time the author discusses the definitions of some conceptions, as for instance general physical
geography, landscape, geographical region, physiotop. | en_EN |
