Abstract

The materials for the present paper were collected during the field work of the Fourth Congress of European Mycologists in Poland. They are mostly derived from the Masurian Lake District, the Białowieża Forest, and the Świętokrzyskie, Tatra, and Pieniny Mountains. The paper presents 60 species of parasitic fungi living on 68 host plants; of these, 18 species belong to the Ascomycetes (13 to the Erysiphaceae), 40 to the Basidiomycetes (1 to the Exobasidiales, З4 to the Uredinales, 5 to the Ustilaginales, and 2 species to the Deuteromycetes). The rust Milesia Kriegeriana living on Dryopteris austriaca (fig. 1) was gathered on the screes of Łysica, its second locality in Poland (fig. 2). The fern Dryopteris austriaca is a new host of this rust in Poland. The following species, rare in Poland, were also collected: Thekopsora galli on Asperula odorata (Białowieża National Park) and Cintractia montagnei on Rhynchospora alba (Kamień, in the Mrągowo district), (fig. 2).
