Z badań nad zróżnicowaniem struktur wiejskich województwa krakowskiego

Abstract

The author discusses the differences in rural settlements within the Province of Oracow in the light of the social and professional structure of their inhabitants. The criterion for classifying villages into different groups is composed of several coefficients, such as the per cent of non-agricultural population, indices of growth of population in general and of the non-rural population, the per cent share of people employed outside agriculture, and the division of those professionally active according to the various branches of nationał economy. The distribution of the particular indices, illustrated with cartograms, permitted to define the specific territorial systems of the village gradation types as regards the changes in professional structures in the Province.
