Migracje zarobkowe ze wsi do miast w województwie krakowskim

Abstract

The paper is concerned with migrations in search of a job from the country to towns where the former labourers come to settle: these are called also permanent migrations. The analysis of these migrations (from 1946 to 1952) has been founded upon official statistical material relating to rural arreas of the Province of Cracow as well as upon reprresentative research conducted in villages in the economically underdeveloped mountain territories, in agriculturał areas showing a good economic standard and, finally, in the "hinterland" of towns (Cracow, Tarnów). The author has tried to present the spacial differentiation of these migrations according to the respective age group, family situation, education and qualifications of the migrating people, as well as the intensity of these migrartions and their directions.
