The rock debris material of the waste zone in Cretaceous rock within the NW part of the Nida Trough shows numerous traces of cryogenic perturbations. The latter were recognized and described as crevice formations and debris festoons. They originated in the active zone of permafrost of the periglacial horizon in the Baltic glaciation.
Moreover, the article extends the existing classification of debris festooons and proves that some of the perturbation formations are polygenous. The wide occurrence of these „structures” bears witness to the high productivity of periglacial morphogenesis in the Baltic glaciation within the North-West part of the Nida Trough.
