The author describes the character of the geographic-physical regions of Venezuela, particularly bringing to light the elements of the natural environment which are closely connected with economics and population. So far there has not been any publication which would deal with economic evaluation of the different natural regions of Venezuela - either in that country or abroad. The only publications where the interpretation of the problem was somewhat similar, was that of Levi Marrero (cited in the article). In the notes and references, the author cites the relevant sources (mainly Venezuelan) and scientific literature on the examined subject, as well as some partucilars on the vital problems pertaining to Venezuelan geographical environment and economies.en_EN
