dc.description.abstract | The paper brings a comparison of the philosophical views of S.Brzozowski and the outlook on life of Polish
modernism. The author presents the concept of individualism, some ontological assumptions, the concept of "life",
the antirationalistic tendencies and the ethical assumptions, comparing them with parallel trends in modernism.
Brzozowski is related to modernism by dealing with the same problems, however, he was one of the great
personalities of his time, whose influence was a marked one.
Brzozowski's view are characterized by strong humanistic, anthropocentric tendencies - stressing the role, the
creative power and the activity of man, and regarding all the phenomena as a result of human activity. | en_EN |
