| dc.description.abstract | The paper presents a discussion of the works of S. Rudniański, the main concern of the discussion being his concept
of the subject and function of philosophy. More attention has been given to his analysis of the aims of philosophy
than to the discussion of other forms of social consciousness (outlook on life, ideology).
In the author's opinion Rudniański represents a Marxist conception of philosophy, however he imparts to it some
