Abstract

The paper presents a struggle for the nature of culture on two planes: legal and theoretical. On the one hand a legal guarantee of the emancipation from the domination of religious outlook was suggested; on the other hand the representatives of various theoretical orientations studied the problems of culture and postulated the need of its emancipation from all sorts of alienation.
