dc.description.abstract | Social activity is often a springboard to the world of politics, which can be observed during
subsequent parliamentary and local elections. Drawing community workers into electoral
battles pays mainly politicians who utilize the popularity of well-known social local leaders
to provide support for their own party. Social activists, in turn, have a chance to go
beyond the local environment and to appear on the nationwide “market”. There are,
however, serious cases of people holding political office who gave up their positions to act
for the benefit of social activity, and it is in this area that they achieve spectacular success.
Is it a proof that political activity, which should be a job for the benefit of society, can
be a barrier to real social activities? or maybe there is a possibility to combine these two
types of activity and to be both a political and social leader? These and other questions
are a contribution to further consideration. | en_EN |
