Ksiądz Bronisław Sieńczak jako wzór społecznika i przywódcy lokalnego

Abstract

One of the most intriguing and significant questions which are worth answering is the question of political leadership, its shape and form, both on a central and a local level. The substance of this problem lies the role that leaders play, or should play, in society. The answer the article deals with is that local leaders do not have to be politicians. What is more, in order to develop civic society in Poland, it is much better when people who are active and involved in society do not belong to the world of politics. The article depicts the active involvement of Father Bronisław Sieńczak, the founder and the director of the Father Siemaszko Foundation. This visionary and tireless community activist is presented here as a local leader model. The author carries a critical analysis of Father Sieńczak’s work and defines his contribution to the development of the local community, with special emphasis put on the qualities of a good leader.
