| dc.description.abstract | The studies were carried out on water content in the skin, tongue, straight muscul of abdomen, liver, alimentary
canal, kidneys, gastrocnemius musculus, oviducts and ovaries in the middle period of active life of the fire-
bellied toad, Bombina bombina (L.). It has been found that the highest water content in both sexes occures in the
tongue, kidneys and in straight muscul of abdomen, whereas the lowest water content occures in the reproductive
organs (ovaries and oviducts) and in the liver of females as well as in the liver and alimentary canal of males. An
investigated organs shows higher water content in organs of males than in analogous organs of females. From
comparing of water content in various organs of the fire-bellied toad, the common frog and the water frog, results
that the highest water content in the middle period of active life both in males and females occours in organs of
the fire-bellied toad. | en_EN |
