dc.description.abstractIn paper is tried to show the evolution of teaching the engineering drawing in polish schools and to explain whether the youngs, finishing the elementary and middle schools, were prepared in the range of engineering drawing or not. On the base of investigated archives materials it is possible to confirm, that in the 18 century in many polish schools was teached the civil and military architectur in connection with architectonic drawing, which not yet was engineering drawing. A little later, at the beginning of 19 century, appears the drawing called artisan. The teaching of real engineering drawing began in programmes of various technical schools formed not till than in the first half of 19 century. The first, who introduced in the main to Poland the principles of descriptive geometry was Francis Sapalski. He warked out alredy in 1812 suitable materials in sphere of his activity in Warsaw Society of Science Friends.en_EN
