dc.description.abstractThis article contains analysis and comparison of different methods of the cross section calculation for the magnetic scattering of thermal neutrons by paramagnetic ion (Trammell method, Lovesey method, Stassis method, small-kapproximation). Also a discussion of the applied assumptions is given. It is shown that the Lovesey method is the most convenient. Finally, results for PrF[3] are presented, obtained by adopting Lovesey and small- kapproximation methods.en_EN
