Functional and differential equations

Abstract

Functional equations play an important role in the theory of differential equations. Euler functional equation for homogeneous functions, Abel and Schroder functional equations and their systems, iteration groups of functions are essential tools for studying transformations and asymptotic properties of their solutions. And conversely, differential equations give answer to some problems in the theory of functional equations, e.g., decomposition of functions.
