Abstract

The main objective of this paper is the answer to the question: „Is using the „sailor” method fair, when choosing a random person?” In this method, at the appointed sign, each participant n sticks out 1 to 5 fingers of his right hand. Afterwards the fingers are counted and the sum is added up. The person that it lands on when the fingers are counted up is considered chosen.
