The presented article discusses the interaction of certain kinds of autobiographism and intertextuality. The author comments on two books by notable writers: Pamflet na siebie by T. Konwicki and Lapidaria by R. Kapuściński, focusing on similarities in treating a literary image and intertextual relations with fragments of the works of these two writers and of texts of others. The article highlights this phenomenon through notions such as “palimpsest” (Genette), “punctum” of the image (Barthes), and also through “photographicity” of the world’s perspective in Kapuściński and “filmocity” in Konwicki. It also combines them with the specifics of an autobiographic narrative which is contained in the “browsing culture”.en_EN
