Adam Dziurzyński jako dydaktyk biologii

Abstract

This text presents the main directions of Adam Dziurzyński's work in the field of the teaching of biology. At first A. Dziurzyński worked for 27 years as a biology teacher in one high grammar school and also for 11 years as a supervision of other biology teachers in their service - training. Later he was a prominent educator and mentor of students - future biology teachers. He was the author of a biology handbook and also of some books and many articles concerning the teaching of botany, zoology, plant physiology, animal physiology and human-physiology as well. He concentrated especially on issues of laboratory work and field work. In these articles A. Dziurzyński views concerned with the work of a biology teacher and teaching of biology in general were expressed. A. Dziurzyński’s influence on the development of biology instruction in Poland has also been discussed.
