In this article scientific activities of Adam Dziurzyński are discussed in detail. All his publications connected
with insects are taken into account here. As an entomologist he was working mainly on mining caterpillars. A.
Dziurzyński was the author of some zoological works in the range of didactics. The most famous and valuable one
is "Zoological Excursions", edited several times. The book is useful for teachers of biology from the elementary
school up to the university. Two unpublished scientific descriptions: "Family Life of Animals" and "The
Significance of the Coexistence in Nature" are also mentioned here.
