Laboratoryjna hodowla wybranych grup glebowych larw Diptera

Abstract

This work contains the anaxysis of literature as well as the authors' own experiments concerning methods of cultivating some soil Diptera larvae. All the difficulties in soil fauna cultivating have been considered and various types of larvae raising in relation to the aim of experiments have been presented. One of the aims can be the identification of species which is often impossible in the larval stage. Another aim is the necessary evaluation of the role and trophic interrelations in the process of decomposition of organic matter. Methods of larvae cultivating belonging to the following families: Tabanidae, Limoniidae, Chironomidae, Tipulidae, Phrynaeidae and Lonchaeidae have been elaborated.
