New martensitic 9% Cr steel with boron addition is purposed for steam turbine rotors working at ultra-supercritical conditions (<=650°C, >30 MPa). The particle distribution and high thermal stability of precipitates plays an important role in the creep rupture strength at elevated temperature. This paper presents the analysis of precipitates in this steel by using transmission electron microscopy and boron trace autoradiography with correlation to the creep behavior.en_EN
