dc.description.abstract | This work presents the results of a study concerning the structure and properties of heat- affected zone in high-strength low- alloy steels. The material for investigation were samples after heat treatment (single- and multi-welding thermal cycles). The samples were representative of the heat-affected zone of single- and multi-pass weld. M-A (martensite-austenite) islands are shown and their structure is described. The changes of properties (impact strength and hardness) depending on thermal cycles are examined as well. The introduction describes problems concerning welding HSLA steels. | en_EN |
