dc.description.abstract | The article is devoted to the analysis of the structure of the titles of nineteenth and twentieth century texts,
containing the word journey, representing different varieties and functional styles of the Polish language. The
goal is to set a composition formula with this word. Its textual applications supported by the syntactic properties
of the word to journey allow to formulate the following valence scheme: (some) JOURNEY of somebody with somebody
somewhere through something by something | on something | in something | for something | || somewhere by something
| on something | in something | for something | in some circumstances sometime, in which, apart from attributive
denotations, there appear such semantic elements as a person set on a journey, a journey companion, journey
beginning, destination, route / location, means of travelling, time and circumstances.
In practice, it is possible to have different reduced variants of the presented scheme which are modified by the
author and which time, language variety and title functions have their impact on. The title can be modified but
only within a grammatically specified syntax model. | en_EN |
