dc.description.abstract | The aim of this article is to present the idea of Multicultural Education concidered as
a transformative movement in education, which produces critically thinking, socially active
members of society, a movement which calls for new attitudes, new approaches, and a new
dedication to laying the foundation for the transformation of the society. What is crucial in understanding
multicultural education is the revision of three basic theories of communication in
plural societies – the author presents Bennett’s concept of diversity, Mildred and Edward Hall’s
behavioral components of culture and Geert Hofstede’s dimensions of culture.
In respect of revision of the political science curriculum and conducted research, the author
also sets out a concept of a faculty to be introduced for Political Science students. | en_EN |
