Józef Maśliński jako teoretyk i krytyk awangardy

Abstract

The article introduces Józef Maśliński as an avant-garde theoretician and critic. The subject discussed were selected critical discussions that were published in Pion, Żagary, Kurier Wileński and Comoedia in the 1930-ties. It is demonstrated how Maśliński comprehended and treated avant-garde art, whose output he recognised and whose condemned. An attempt was madę in the text to locate the critic among other authors of the inter-war period.
